Ginkgo Art Centre is honored to announce a new exhibition, to be opened on July 16th, 2016. The exhibition, bearing the artist’s name, “Li Changlong”, is curated by Zhu Tong. Over sixty paintings created by the artist in the past seven years will be exhibited. The exhibition is divided into three chapters: “counter-landscape”, “everyday politics”, and “color layers and boundaries”. From image to visual language, to transforming landscapes into materials, viewers are invited to join the journey of the artist’s creative process. As noted by the artist: “I wish to conduct my voice via visuals, to connect my real self to the paintings, and to investigate common human experience and encounters.”

Ginkgo Art Center:
Ginkgo Art Center is a landmark building in Beijing, encompassing an area of 3,500 square meters. Located at the west gate of the Workers Gymnasium which nearby the East Second Ring Road, Ginkgo Art Center is nestled in Beijing’s prosperous commercial Sanlitun – Gongti area. The exhibition space is 2,000 square meters, where academic exhibitions are hosted, and it explores the diverse trends of contemporary art through promoting, exchanging and collecting art projects. It also collaborates and communicates with leading domestic and international art institutions, art museums and curators, promoting the development of contemporary art. The public education area at Ginkgo Art Center is 1,000 square meters, serving as a cultural platform for the general public and art professionals, encouraging the growth of diverse academic viewpoints and artistic spirit.
