“Xu Bacheng Solo Exhibition-Energy Factory” will showcase artist Xu Bacheng’s easel painting, video and installation works, which systematically present his sequence of thought of creation and can enable the audience to understand him and his works more clearly and thoroughly. Xu Bacheng is adept in using different status of different media to express the demand of his inner world in diversified ways. The artworks to be exhibited this time are the best practice of “coming from daily system and returning to daily system”. At the exhibition site, screens and installation correspond to each other, forming a space which converting the spatial scale into the length of time, which allow work to accommodate the growth of the traces. Also allow traces of this growth in the exhibition room.
Xu Bacheng, born in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province in 1983. He graduated from Oil Painting Department, China Academy of Art and earned a master’s degree in 2011, and went to Europe to study in the same year. He received “Pan Tianshou Scholarship” of China Academy of Art, and national scholarship in 2012. In 2014, Xu Bacheng was voted “2014 the most potential young artists” by Bell Art Center and Art Trade Journal. Since 2004, Xu Bacheng’s artworks is exhibited in avariety of group exhibitions, biennales and art fairs in many countries and city, such as South Korea, Tokyo, Miami, New York, Barcelona, Madrid, Copenhagen, Singapore, Kaohsiung, Hongkong, etc.
