ExtraPolis : Mankind shapes the city, and the city shapes mankind., Beijing – Meridian Space

Extrapolis is an interactive installation based on augmented screens that represents an imaginary city in perpetual motion, with which the viewer can engage. Thanks to techniques of augmented design, combining drawing and video animation, this hand-drawn and painted work comes to life, evolves as the day goes by, and beckons every visitor to dive into it.
This collaboration between French artistic entities Théoriz Crew and BKYC is both a source of pure sensory pleasure, and a poetic reflection about our place, as human beings, in the heart of our ever-moving cities — in which images of ourselves are constantly being created, as we are filmed and analysed by the machines that surround us.
