Almine Rech Gallery London will present a survey exhibition of Günther Förg (1952–2013) from February 1 to March 24, 2018. The exhibition follows ‘To London! A Selection of Paintings’, the artist’s first solo show with the gallery in London in 2015.

Günther Förg’s practice was indisputably diverse: over the course of a thirty year career, he gained critical acclaim in painting, sculpture, ceramics and photography. The visual repertoire of motifs, materials and techniques Günther Förg developed was used and combined to propose endless possibilities of composition. The exhibition at Almine Rech Gallery will cover thirty years of the artist’s career, from his first monochrome painting from the 1970s to his latest series of works from 2009. This survey will offer a unique insight into the artist’s multifaceted practice, extensive approach to materials, and endless innovation.
