“Queen LiLi’s Garden” is a group video and photography exhibition by artists BIRD HEAD, Chen Xiaoyun, Geng Jianyi, Liang Yue, Sun Xun and Yang Fudong. A diverse group of artists and their idiosyncratic styles have formed an exhibition that is harmonious, quiet yet captivating. The entire space invokes the familiar details and scenarios of modernity. The human condition seems to foreground “Queen Lili’s Garden”, as the subjects in the artists’ creations are deeply attached to the everyday life. A mix of feelings about the mourned past and uncertain future are echoed throughout this exhibition that is set in the wintertime.
