SURGE Art, China’s largest platform for emerging art, will be holding a summer show at Red Gate Gallery from September 6th to September 10th.
As well as a selection of SURGE Art’s most popular artists a number of new artists will show for the first time.
The exhibition will feature 22 artists and focus on contemporary oil painting and sculpture.
Paintings from artists including Cao Xihui, Liu Xining, Chang Long and Jia Lin have been selected to show in the SURGE Art Red Gate exhibition.
Whilst some of these artists have been working with SURGE Art for a number of years new artists such as Kuang Hong will be showing with SURGE Art for the first time.
The new works from these artists will reflect Chinese contemporary society seen through the eyes of the post ‘80s generation.
The show will also showcase sculpture from Li Qing, Zheng Dongmei, Liu Hui, Yuan Jia.
