Pékin Fine Arts is honored to host our 1st solo exhibition of black and white photography by Robin Moyer, an award winning photo-journalist, with a career spanning over five decades in Asia and China. Over 30 images will be on view in this comprehensive presentation of the artist’s China work.

Moyer’s images capture with a sympathetic and savvy lens many of the most tumultuous and moving events of recent history. His photography spotlights the people and images at the periphery of Asia’s most newsworthy stories, shot while on assignment as a Time-Life magazine photographer.

His inaugural exhibition at Pékin Fine Arts offers a more personal take on Moyer’s assignments, and includes a broad spectrum of China street scenes, portraits, and landscapes, beginning with rare photo work completed as early as 1976 in Mainland China and up to present day Hong Kong. Chosen from his extensive archive of negatives, and presented in modern black and white prints, the exhibition also includes a sampling of hand-printed platinum photos, all individually printed and signed by Moyer on Hahnemühle fine art photo paper.

Moyer’s most well-known cover portraits for Time-Life magazine are on permanent display at the Foreign Correspondent’s Club in Hong Kong. His work is widely collected, and is in the collection of the United States Library of Congress.
