This common phrase is a business-to-consumer friendly blessing printed on a shopping bag. It evokes a question for me: “What can escape being commercialized in today’s world?” Yang Jian’s exhibition investigates the dramas behind the ‘Commercial & Control’ systems integrated throughout society today.
