The same year, he participated Beijing Caochangdi Documentary Video Festival; In 2012, he joined the “Focus on talents project” and the exhibition for nominated artists realized at Today Art Museum. Liu Guoqiang manages various medias for his works, included installations, videos, paintings, photography and even performance. Usually his works present simple, quiet, restrained characteristics, which visually shows a minimal style; relying on his own high sensitivity, he detected the blind spot of daily experience and cognitive gap of common routine in the life. The images from the “common senses” and “general rules” point on paradoxes in time, movements and its physical dimension, from which he provides concepts with reference to the limitation and absurdity of human’s cognition.

“The Moving Images” is Liu Guoqiang’s first show, it will display the artist’s recent videos, paintings and photography. Images are innocent; the initiator place them at the entrance of a meaning-world, audiences will find between the content-ideas their own explanation, which will be in and out of the common world.
