Galerie Gisela Capitain is delighted to announce an exhibition of twelve new paintings by Wade Guyton. This is his third show at the gallery.
The exhibition includes images of paintings drying on the floor, scans of an armrest, a prototype of the sculpture shown in the gallery in 2014, and other scenes of the studio. There is also an enlarged bitmap painting in red and blue.
With this exhibition Galerie Gisela Capitain inaugurates its new gallery space at Albertusstrasse 9-11 where the artist presents one new iPhone painting.
Patagonia 2 is the sequel to his exhibition Patagonia in New York from earlier this year.
Wade Guyton (b. 1972, Hammond, IN) has recently had solo exhibitions at the Museum Brandhorst, Munich, the Serpentine Gallery, London, and Museo Madre, Naples. A retrospective at Museum Ludwig, Cologne is being organized for autumn 2019.
