As the world is increasingly in the grips of mass hysteria, Yang Jiechang brings auspicious images to Hong Kong with the solo exhibitioAs the world is increasingly in the grips of mass hysteria, Yang Jiechang brings auspicious images to Hong Kong with the solo exhibition “Good Morning Hong Kong.n “Good Morning Hong Kong.” To be held at the Central Library Exhibition Galleries, this exhibition is part of Le French May Arts Festival, co-organized by the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macau. Yang’s first major exhibition in the city since appearing at the Hong Kong University Museum and Art Gallery in 2001, “Good Morning Hong Kong” will feature his signature100 Layers of Ink series of paintings and video installations; two monumental multi-panel works from the Tale of the 11th Day series; and selections from the series Children Running, These are Still Flowers 1913-2013 and These are Still Landscapes 1913-2013, painted after works by the young Adolf Hitler. Following the artist’s 2014 solo show “This is Still Landscape Painting” in our Beijing gallery, Ink Studio is proud to collaborate with Alisan Fine Arts to present this new exhibition in Hong Kong.
