Yangzi’s first solo exhibition “Yangzi’s Room” featuring her paintings, photographs and videos since 2008. Most of the figures and themes in Yangzi’s artworks are from her private life, her mother, boy friend and female friends, the person who all find their way into her observation and artistic treatment. Her works are drawing more and more attention due to her unique expression of art that is by no means academic background.
Her motivation in art, in her words, is “to keep the moment for ever as a proof that time has been stroked. “Yangzi’s Room” is therefore loaded with her record of the life around her. The accompanying portraits of the worldwide renowned serial killer reveal us the world of self Yangzi’s art builds which keeps eliminating differences.
