On Mar 16th, Gallery Yang is going to hold the opening for the Fetishism—Zhan Chong’s Solo Exhibition and present the artist’s creations from 2012 to 2013. Zhan Chong, born in 1980s, has been interacting with the world through companying and imagining “man-made articles,” from which he obtained a kind of sense of safety. We made everything, but who made us? Eventually products’ existences influence the producers. In such kind of “attaching to” and “being attached to,” materials are spiritulised. His works as Sagging Left and Harmless Relief, relate human conflict to corresponding object, through which he created the individualized description. The Fetishism will be on until Apr 21st.
