Mai 36画廊（Mai 36 Galerie）宣布代理中国艺术家臧坤坤。臧坤坤生于1986年，现在北京生活和工作。在2017年春季参加了Mai 36画廊备受好评的群展，并在2017年香港巴塞尔和2017巴塞尔艺术展亮相之后，臧坤坤将于2018年初在苏黎世举办其个人于Mai 36画廊的首次个展。
近些年来，臧坤坤逐渐将绘画视为一种“物”，而非仅仅将其作为描绘事物的载体。他试图在绘画、绘画对象和画中物体之间建立一种平等，而非主次之分的联系。这也意味着他的创作已渐渐摆脱了古板教条的绘画方式，转而形成一种无边界的自由创作方式，其关注点也确实从色彩、笔触和形体转移到探索物体、形式、观念和不同感官体验之间的微妙关系和结构构成之上。

臧坤坤的创作突破了文化准则、集体认知和潜意识束缚，以更广为接受的艺术语言表现了其个人的本土体验。通过对工业媒介，包括日常生活用品的运用，臧坤坤的装置和绘画涵盖了如城市化及其带来的社会效应、时间的流逝，以及受限于时空的维度等主题。尽管年纪轻轻，可臧坤坤已经从事艺术创作近十年之久，这点从其创作的不同系列、跨越各种媒介的作品对主题的再思考，提炼深化的纯熟运用中可见一斑。
