Belgian artist Fred Eerdekens is internationally renowned for his sculptures and installations where he combines language and sculpture into one. Fred Eerdekens combines the ingenuity and creativity of light with material. Fred Eerdekens uses various mediums, from metal stings, constructions of books or synthetic clouds. The common themes throughout each installation are light, shadow, language and spatial concept.
The shadows are equally important to the installation as the construction, the shadows give meaning to entire composition. The artist constructs his work by playing with angles and perspective.
