红门画廊

红门画廊由澳大利亚人布朗·华莱士于1991年创立。布朗1984年第一次来中国旅行，之后返回中国学习和工作，并在中央美术学院学习中国艺术史。1988年到1989年之间，中国当代艺术还处在萌芽阶段，布朗在北京古观象台和艺术家朋友们组织了一系列当代艺术展览，并最终在东便门的明代箭楼上创办了红门画廊。1991年7月红门画廊的开幕展上展出了张亚杰、大弓、王利丰、王鲁炎的作品。2011年红门画廊举办二十周年庆典，在北京、上海和澳大利亚举办了巡回展览。二十三年来红门画廊始终站在中国当代艺术的最前沿。
