Beijing’s Red Gate Gallery Is Hiring

[release]

Beijing’s Red Gate Gallery seeks a Marketing and Media Coordinator to help make Red Gate more accessible to the art world across many platforms.

We are looking for a highly creative individual who is a skilled Chinese/English language copywriter with a passion for connecting the Red Gate brand to clients via social media (WeChat/Facebook/Instagram/Twitter/etc), partner media organisations and paid online platforms such as Artsy.

You will be responsible for producing content drawn from Red Gate Gallery, Red Gate Residency and SURGEArt.com for our presence across our websites and platforms, supporting ongoing initiatives with sponsors and partnerships, and assisting with the day-to-day management of the Gallery’s overall media strategy to drive online-visits, enquiries and individual and group visitors to the gallery. Weekly and monthly reporting will track and inform media directions.

Working with our artists, covering our extensive programming and interacting with clients are core elements of the gallery DNA.

In this role, you will gain extensive knowledge about the inner workings of gallery marketing and gain instant access to the art world in Beijing and beyond.

The ideal candidate has experience contributing to successful China based media channels (personally and/or professionally), has spectacular organizational skills, experience with timely placement, and thrives off a fast-paced work environment.

A genuine interest in art and lifestyle media is a must, background in art is strongly preferred, and an editorial background is a major plus. Attention to detail is a given.

All candidates must be currently based in Beijing, or be willing to relocate to the Big Dumpling for this position.

This position is full-time and based at our Dongbianmen watchtower office in downtown Beijing, and starts immediately.

To apply, please submit your resume and a covering letter to Brian Wallace: brian@redgategallery.com
