Ling He：Your One Yuan In Exchange for My Two Hours
For the 7th project show of YELLOW.ANTS.ART.LAB, Ling HE will present his performance record entitled “Your one yuan in exchange for my two hours“.
“Your One Yuan In Exchange For My Two Hours” is about the artist advertise in the newspaper and web media announcing that from May 30 through June 29, anyone who is willing to spend one yuan could get two hours of the artist’s time. During the period, the purchaser is entitled to ask the artist to do anything upon their wishes. The artist would carry out all orders wholeheartedly.
Ling HE was born in China in 1981. In 2007, He graduated from Central Academy of Fine Arts, obtained a postgraduate equivalent. In the same year, He won a scholarship from “Kunstlerhaus / Schloss Balmoral” in Germany. Ling HE’s recent major exhibitions include: China Performance Art Documenta 1985-2010 (Songzhuang Art Museum, 2010); Macao International Performance Art Festival – China Session (Okura Macau Ox, 2010); Hunan-Hubei Contemporary Art 1985-2009 (Guangdong Art Museum, 2009); 3rd China International Architecture Biennale (Beijing 751 factory, 2008); Chinese Performance Arts (Macao Art Museum, 2008); 1st Moscow International Youth Arts Biennale (Moscow MoMA, 2008); 1st Experimental Art Documenta (Beijing Central Academy of Fine Arts, 2006).
