Gallery Yang will present its new exhibition “Love” on the 10th day of October, 2015. It is the 3rd Gallery Yang solo exhibition of artist Yan Bing, and will last 2 months till December 3, 2015.

In his works, Yan Bing has been always refining artistic languages from his own perspective – from Comforter, Secret, Grain (early works), to Cutting Potatoes, Cowhide, New Earth, Tools, The Weight of Pain (recent works). He employs oil and installation as his primary media, and tends to use plain and daily materials, such as earth, crop, furniture, cloth, steel, and iron. This exhibition is going to display his latest installation series, which explored more deeply both on content and form.

Yan Bing was born in Tianshui, Gansu province, China, in October, 1980. He got into the CAFA in 2002, studied under Studio 3 of the Oil Painting Department, and graduated in 2007. His solo exhibitions include: My Labor II (Gallery Yang, Beijing, China, 2013); Superfluous Things, No.5 (Hive Center for Contemporary Art, Beijing, China, 2013); Farming Poems (White Box Museum of Art, Beijing, China, 2012); My Labour (Gallery Yang, Beijing, China, 2011); 51㎡14# (Taikang Space, Beijing, China, 2010); Temperature (curated by Liu Xiaodong, Ullens Center for Contemporary Art, Beijing, China, 2009). He also participated in lots of group exhibitions held by institutions such as CAFA Museum; Minsheng Art Museum; Urban Arts Space, Ohio State University, USA; RH Contemporary Art, New York, USA; Centre for Chinese Contemporary Art, Manchester, Britain; Xi’an Art Museum; Taikang Space; Guanshanyue Art Museum; G • ART, Nanjing, China; etc.
