继今年初伊萨·根泽肯（Isa Genzken）的大型回顾展在纽约现代艺术博物馆（MoMA）举办之后，本展览又巡展至了芝加哥当代美术馆。与其前夫，在中国大名鼎鼎的画家里希特（Gerhard Richter）的作品相比，根泽肯的名字更多地与“拼装”（assemblage）相联系。而且正好与里希特那种带着沉重历史感的模糊相片笔触相反，根泽肯的作品无处不散发着浓浓的后现代反讽气味。在她的武库中我们看不到任何崇高和庄严的材料，却充满了这个“塑料”时代的假花假草、廉价的铝箔铁片，仿佛随时都能听到“blinblin”的声响。然而，这些最轻佻的材料却被她用来“对付”最为古典和最高雅的主题：塑料框做成的祭坛三联画、废弃的飞机窗喷上颜料被命名为“达芬奇”，甚至，连严肃的现代主义经典包豪斯也成为了她调侃的对象，使得整个展览都沉浸在后现代的诗意中。
