Newly established in 2014, Gingko Space (Beijing) is a commercial, contemporary art gallery with the exhibition space of over 1300 square metres. Located at the west gate of the Workers Gymnasium, the gallery is nestled in Beijing’s most prosperous commercial Sanlitun-Gongti area.
Gingko Space is devoted to presenting young artists, who work with an academic and investigative focus, to institutions and respected collectors, and encouraging the growth of contemporary art. Through a range of methods, including exhibitions, publications, artists’ residencies, collectors salons and non-profit projects, the gallery aims to create an open platform with a far reaching influence. Through these initiatives, the gallery actively participates in promoting its target: to develop contemporary Chinese art.
