Intelligentsia Gallery is a fully independent contemporary art space devised as a universal platform for the creation and development of ideas and their manifestation in the realm of contemporary art.
Fueled with intellectual rigor and creative experimentation each monthly exhibition at Intelligentsia Gallery is carefully curated by its founders and/or guest curators to further develop the discourse of contemporary art. With each exhibition the gallery publishes in-house a catalog with texts by artists, writers, philosophers, critics, theorists, poets and art enthusiasts in order to critically dissect, analyze and speculate on the works and topics presented in the exhibitions.
Following the universal mission of a truly international platform, since its foundation in January 2014 Intelligentsia Gallery has presented group exhibitions with works by more than 70 emerging and established artists from more than 20 countries from Asia, Europe, Oceania, and the Americas.
Intelligentsia Gallery was founded by artists collective Cruz Garcia & Nathalie Frankowski, founders of the artist collective Garcia Frankowski and of WAI Architecture Think Tank. IntelligentsiaGallery is located in a hutong space in the centre of Beijing.
