In a globalized world, areas of cultural convergence arise in contemporary art and in the art market. Asian and western art are engaged in an on-going dialogue, in such a way that the two drift apart and come together along time, and in the present day we observe an increasing presence of the work of Asian artists on the western contemporary art scene.
In these works are sometimes found a questioning of the individual within the context of current-day society, employing a contemporary language, whilst their work reflect the philosophy of the oriental culture.
Our exhibition proposes to put forward this new identity within contemporary asian art in the French capital. Maison Bleu Studio presents for the exhibition “Vide et Plein” a selection of works from the artists: Li Chevalier (China), Wang Keping (China), Ai Weiwei (China), Onishi Yasuaki (Japan), Ko YoungHoon (Korea), Chang Ling (Taiwan), Lim Hyunjung (Korea), Mori Keita (Japan), Jeong Yunkyung (Korea), Huang Xin (China).
