Iː project space offers project-based artist residencies. In cycles of 2-3 months, artists are invited to stay and work at Iː project space Beijing.
The artist residency program of Iː project space has the aim to support young professional artists by providing them with a space embedded in the buzzing metropolis Beijing to experiment and realize art projects outside the art market. Next to realizing their own project, the artists will further be introduced to the Chinese art scene and culture.
We provide:
- studio and accommodation
- introduction to art scene in China
- consultation for working and production in Beijing
We expect:
- final exhibition or workshop on the research during the residency
- edition of art prints for Iː project space
Participants are also encouraged to take an active role in developing the program and are welcome to arrange seminars, workshops, guest lectures, etc.
Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis, with a deadline of October 23rd 2016 for project happening between February and April 2017. This is a wide open call, artists of any medium and nationality are encouraged to apply.
