Galerie Templon is showing a series of neon installations by conceptual Chinese artist He An, never before seen in Brussels.

The exhibition features Hausner’s recently completed large-scale paintings and portraits with a strong feminine bent. Through the artist’s untamed brushwork, relationships and stories are brought to life amidst intense colors and imposing compositions…

These personal anecdotes serve as the entry into the lives and practices of two artists who are actively seeking to redefine the paradigm of oil painting in China. “They” are Beijing-based Lai Shengyu and Yang Xiaogang, better known by their incorporated name Tamen.

“Now You See: New Chinese Video Art from the Collection of Dr. Michael I. Jacobs” has opened at the Whitebox Art Centre, New York.
